Jamie Mayberry better known as Jay-May is a rap artist that creates inspirational music. He aims to inspire, provoke and move listeners towards a better understanding of God and how he speaks to everyday people.
With rap music being the vehicle for this expression, Jay-May hopes to capture the heart and minds of people with catchy, easy music for all to enjoy. From living a reckless life saturated with drugs, crime and violence, to dedicating his life to Christ, raising a family, earning a college degree and committing 20 years to his country by serving in the United States Army; he reflects on the ups and downs of life while giving advice, encouragement and ideas on how to navigate through it successfully. His upcoming project “Life, Love and Relationships” will facilitate this and serve as a guide and inspirational tool to accomplish this. His previous work includes “For His Glory”, “The Winter Classics EP”, “We Live Praise” and “Double Edge Sword” which are available online at all digital outlets.
Zacchaeus Darnell Tabron, known as Zacchaeus tha’ Great in the hip-hop world, is an American artist who was born in Virginia Beach, VA at the Bayside General Hospital on December 8, 1990 to parents Zandra Arlean Tabron & Steven Darnell Eure. He lived in the Twin Carnal Village until the age of 11 when his mother decided to move to Lynbrook Landing where he completed his schooling, graduating from the Bayside High School in 2009.
Even though his interest in hip-hop and rap music developed during his childhood, he viewed it as more of a hobby than a career aspiration, which is why he didn’t actively pursue a career in music until he reached his teenage years, which is when he actively began to record music.
However, he always displayed a hidden talent for rapping when he was a child, but did not let his parents or peers let in on it, until later, when he decided he wanted to venture into the world of music. As time passed, his hobby turned into his passion and he developed an interest in becoming a musician with the year 2008 becoming his first foray into the world of hip-hop and rap music.
It started with an Indie label founded by Alonzo Shaw. He went on to release his first debut single, “Go Get Em” in 2016. His debut single garnered more than 10,000 streams on Spotify.
What sets him apart from other independent artists in the hip-hop and rap industry is his ability to use enticing word play and aggressive delivery of lyrics. He credits the 90s and early 2000s hip-hop, R&B, and reggae for influencing his sound.
Alternative Christian Hip-Hop artist JunSix blends positive skillfully delivered lyrics over various music styles from gritty beats to EDM.
JunSix started emceeing after hearing “Raising Hell” by Run DMC at the age of 10 and has been doing it ever since. After performing in and winning a rap contest at 11, he decided that he wanted to make a career out of music. Since then, his music has allowed fans to get to know him as a battle emcee, a poet and a vocalist.
JunSix’s style has gotten him compared to the likes of Q-tip, Talib Kweli, Common and Ghostface. However, JunSix considers his influences to range from Lauryn Hill, Wyclef Jean, Rakim, Biggie, Tupac and Das EFX to Mary J. Blige, Jill Scott, Stevie Wonder and Marvin Gaye for various reasons. An “against the grain” artist, JunSix focuses on words which defines his style. He chooses to entertain as well as educate which results in lyrical content that leads into a catchy hook.
Musically, one can look for influences from soul and jazz to even rock.
A JunSix album takes you on a ride that goes from pure emceeing to feeling good to just bluntly giving you food for thought. Ultimately, his music is honest and reflects where he is when he writes what he writes.
JunSix hopes to be an important part of hip-hop history and make memorable music and ultimately and perhaps most importantly cultivate a spiritual curiosity.
“The challenge is to give the listener healthy food without taking away the flavor.”
The Agency Operative
After picking up from Episode 1, The Agency Operative emerges with a new album Episode 2 – Agent on a Mission. Throughout his career, the agency operative has gone through a series of transformation to reach this point as a hip hop artist. From writing in a journal to writing rhymes. The Agency Operative went from playing trumpet to being a vocalist.
There was a setback in which AO had to take a hiatus. Not seeing financial success on the first album, the Agency Operative was forced to hold back on setting out more projects. The first project could’ve been the last. The reason for making another project is AO does not give up so easily. Even though Episode 1 did not reach financial success, the album did give AO a better look on how the music industry works.
Another reason for putting out another project is that the former graduate of TCNJ in 2009 has not seen much change in the economy. The job market is still limited with job opportunities. Not much has changed from the first album in 2011 to the current album in 2015. After graduation AO has only been working for jobs that are temporary and has not been offered a permanent position. AO has decided to take his life in a new direction.
From the beginning AO was going by stage name King Kong. The reason for the name change was due to getting legal rights to the name. King Kong came up with the name “The Agency Operative.” Agency is an acronym (Agent Geared for Emissary to Navigate through Critical Conditions without Yielding). Operative means secret agent. The Agency Operative is the secret agent of The Agency Headquarters. The Agency Headquarters is the name of the label. The label was created in 2010 with the first single “So Hot.”
The Agency Operative is back on a mission. The name of the album is Episode 2 – Agent on a Mission. The album was released on iTunes and Google Play on December 11, 2015. As an agent on a mission, the journey will continue to fulfill the mission statement.
The current status of A.O. is to continue with the mission. Already putting in 7 years in the game and still going, A.O. strikes back with the third installment to his discography with Episode 3: A Force to be Reckoned With.

While many artists are looking & chasing labels to be signed, he remains loyal to his identity and genre. As an artist who has clean content, he has potential to gain a lot of respect within the wide spectrum of the industry. Worldwide superstar by the name Diplo drops a brand-spanking new video for “Get It Right” featuring MØ, directed by Brantley Gutierrez and with choreography from longtime collaborator Sara Bivens and Calvit Hodge.
“Get It Right was one of those songs that was written within a very short amount of time—where you hear the beat, you feel inspired, you sing the melodies and the lyrics write themselves because they were already there,” says MØ of the track. “Good sounds inspire you to write more passionately about subjects that are close to your heart, and Wes’ sounds tend to do that to me. We’ve collaborated a lot of times over the past five years and working with him has helped me develop as a songwriter and shape my voice. I’m very thankful for our artistic journey together.
“He came up with this idea of a full song of synchronized choreography and I just loved that idea—even though I was very nervous to learn all of those steps! But it all worked out and it was one of the most fun video shoots I have ever been on!”
The track is the latest in a string of collaborations between Diplo and MØ, dating back to the latter’s 2013 debut EP Bikini Daze. MØ later appeared on Major Lazer’s global smash hits ‘Lean On’ and ‘Cold Water.’
‘Get It Right’, streamed more than 30 million times to date, is taken from Major Lazer Presents: Give Me Future—Music From and Inspired by the Film, the musical companion to Major Lazer’s documentary Give Me Future, shot at the group’s historic, 400,000-person Havana, Cuba show in March 2016. The film premiered via Apple Music this fall after debuting to rave reviews at the 2017 Sundance Festival—watch it here.
Diplo, born Thomas Wesley Pentz, is one of the most dynamic forces in music today under his own name, as well as a founding member of Major Lazer.
